Introducing… WERR Kickstart !

If you want to build confidence and run sociably, gradually building fitness and distance, WERR Kickstart is for you. As a club we want to make sure that everyone can participate and that we’re running sessions which suit every runner.

What is it?

WERR Kickstart is aimed at those who want to build confidence running around 5k and might be looking to build towards 10k distance in time. You may have had some down time, or be returning to running, or have completed a Couch to 5k course in January, or you simply fancy it!

How will it work?

The WERR Kickstart group will run initially every Monday evening at 7pm. For the month of March, the group will run routes around 5k at an easy, sociable pace. Dependent on the wishes of the group, from April the group can work towards 10k distance in a structured manner with the aim of completing the Womens or Mens 10k both of which take place on Sunday June 16th.

I want to join Kickstart. What should I do?

Sign in to the run each Monday at 7pm on the app as normal. Come along and feel the club buzz. Run leaders on the night will identify the routes for the evening then you can head out with the Kickstart group.

What will the routes be? What pace will we run at?

The routes will be a 5k (approx) version and will be at an easy and sustainable pace. The Kickstart group aims to feel supportive and friendly. You won’t be left behind!
